The proposed temple is on a 5.7 acre area about 2 km from the revered Jogulamba temple. Jogulamba is the 5th amongst the ashtadasha maha shaktipeethas - shrines dedicated to Adishakti. A text which gives a listing of these shrines and the position of Jogulamba, is the Shakti Pitha Stotram, written by Adi Shankara.
